Sub-Inspectpor (Overseer), Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force
Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force was founded or established on October 24, 1962. The force is considered as the Indian Paramilitary Force which is responsible for the security along the borders of India with Tibet Autonomous Region of China, border. The force was re structured in the year 1978. The force is mainly trained in mountaneering, Diaster Management and Chemical Disasters etc. The force is actually a multi dimensional force with the main aim of checking illegal immigration and trans border smuggling. At present, Mr. Ranjit Kumar Bhatia is the Director General of the force.
Job Profile:
Indo Tibetan Border Police Force is inviting applications from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the vacant Non Gazetted posts of Sub-Inspector (Overseer) (Group ‘B’). Only male Indian Citizens are invited to apply. Candidates are required to follow all the ligibility conditions set for the post before applying for it in the force. Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in Idnai and even abroad.
Eligibility:
The minimum age limit set for the post of Sub Inspector (Overseer) is 20 years.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Sub Inspector (Overseer) is 25 years.
The cut off date for determining the age will be 20 February 2012. Upper age limit set for the specified post is relaxable by 5 years for the SC/ST candidates while OBC candidates will get relaxation of minimum 3 years. Relaxation of 3 years is also available for the EX-Serviceman candidates.
Physical Standards:
Minimum Height: 170 cms with weight proportionate to height and age.
Chest: Unexpanded - 80 cms and Expanded - 85 cms.
Educational Qualification:
Matriculation or equivalent is the minimum educational qualification required to be possessed by the candidates for applying for the post of Sub-Inspector in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force. Candidates should have done Diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute, after Matriculation. Only those candidates, who possess the prescribed educational qualification, are eligible to apply.

Vacancies for OBC candidates: Only 2 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.
Application Fee:
Rs. 50 is the amount of application fee need to be submitted ot paid by the General and OBC candidates. However, no fee is to be paid by the SC/ST/Ex-SM candidates. Female candidates are also exempted from the payment of this application fee. The application fee must be paid in the form of a Indian Postal Order or crossed bank draft or central recruitment fee stamp drwn in the name of Accounts Officer, Directorate General, ITB Police, New Delhi payable at SBI, R. K. Puram, New Delhi (Bank Code-1076).
How to apply: Application in the prescribed format should reach alongwith the copies of certificates or testimonials to the below mentioned address on or before the last date. The envelope containing application and other enclosures should be superscribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _______________”.
