Staff Selection Commission shortly called as SSC can be referred as a recruitment agency working on behalf of government of India for recruitment of candidates to the Group C and Group B non-technical positions arising in government ministries and departments.

Recruitment by Staff Selection Commission:

Staff Selection Commission is planning to hold the All India Examination for recruitment of candidates for the position of Assistant Sub-Inspectors in Central Industrial Security Force and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the commission in this respect:

Name of the Vacancy: Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 338, which is divided among the different category of candidates as given below:

UR – 172 (Male – 153, Female – 19)

OBC – 91 (Male – 82, Female – 09)

SC – 50 (Male – 46, Female – 04)

ST – 25 (Male – 23, Female – 02)

The total 338, vacancies includes 30 vacancies for EXS candidates

Pay scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Assistant Sub-Inspector, will be coming under the pay band 2 with a pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade pay of Rs. 2800.

Eligibility requirements:

Education: As on the 16th of March 2012, candidates must be graduates in any discipline from a recognized university.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates will be based on the written test followed by Physical Endurance Test, medical examination and interview/personality test. Application fee:

Application fee of Rs.100 should be paid by the candidates through CRF Stamp for application made off-line or through SBI challan or online payment can also be done through SBI for on-line application. Women candidates, SC/ST and EXS candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

Application can be made either through online or through off-line mode and last date for applying in both the cases is 16th of March 2012.
