Staff Selection Commission came into existence on 26th September, 1977 under the Government of India. The commission actually consists of a Chairman, two members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. The commission performs the function of making recruitment of best candidates on the various Group “C” and Group “B” positions in different Ministries or Departments of the Government of India. The commission also make recruitments in the Subordinate Offices as well.

Job Profile:

Eligible Indian nationals are invited to apply for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspectors in Central Industrial Security Force. Staff Selection Commission will hold an All India Examination for the recruitment to the posts of Sub-Inspectors in Central Industrial Security Force. Candidates are required to ensure their eligibility for the post is advance i.e. before applying for it.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates are required to be either a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a subject of Bhutan etc. Candidates must possess atleast 20 years of age which is the minimum age limit set for the post. Candidates should have age less than the 25 years which has been set as the maximum age limit for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector in Central Industrial Security Officer. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 25 June 1986 and not later than 23 June 1991. Central Government Civilian Employees will get relaxation in upper age limit as per rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent for applying for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force. Uneligible candidates are advised to not to apply for the specified position in CIRF as their applications will not be accepted by the commission under any circumstances.

Pay Scale: The post of Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF carries Pay Scale of Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.

Application Fee:

Interested canddiates should submit the application fee by the measn of aCentral Recruitment Fee Stamps only. CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country. Also, fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. The amount of application fee for General and OBC categories candidates is Rs. 100. No fee is to be submitted by Woemn/SC/ST/PH/Ex-Serviceman candidates.

Selection Process:

Selection Process for the specified positions includes a written examination followed by a personal interview test and medical fitness test. Only successfull candidates of written test will be called for the interview and medical fitness test.

How to apply: Candidatres can apply either online or offline. Online mode of application required candidates to apply online at the official website of Staff Selection Commission. Candidates can apply online for the post upto 21 June 2011. In Offline mode of application, candidates will have to apply in the prescribed format only. Complete applicationn form should be submitted on or before 24 June 201 ( However, candiates belonging to far flung areas, should send the application form complete in all respect on or before 1 July 2011). Candidates should send their applications to any of the nine regional or sub offices of Staff Selection Commission.
