NIBM 2011 MBA
National Institute of Bank Management conducts an entrance process for admission to its two years’ Post Graduate Program in Banking and Finance (PGPBF). National Institute of Banking and Management was established by Reserve Bank of India in the year 1969 as an autonomous apex institution. NIBM is situated in Pune and is affiliated to Pune University and is recognized by Department of scientific and industrial research and ministry of science and technology, Government of India.
NIBM is considered to be a premium institution for research, training and consultancy in the field of banking and finance. NIBM uses CAT score for short listing candidates for Personal Interview and General Discussion for the final selection process. Therefore to apply for admission in PGPBF program of NIBM it is compulsory for candidates to give CAT. Candidates interested in getting admission in NIBM also have to apply separately for it.

It is an autonomous institution carried out by the Reserve bank Of India under the guideline of Government of India. The main aim of the institute is to change the shape of the banking and financial system worldwide. The institute is recognized by the University of Pune which is an approved centre for the industrial research and post graduate research.
The University is also approved by the department of Scientific and Industrial Research of Government of India. This is an apex institute in banking and Finance. The institute provides world-class education facility to their students. It has its own campus located in the heart of city. The campus of the institute is free from air and noise pollution creating eco-friendly surrounding for their students. In the campus it has provided modern educational, institutional and residential facility to their candidates.
The faculty members of the institute are highly qualified and well experienced. It has well stocked library with more than 65000 books and three hundred fifty journals and periodicals. The institute provides a pool of talented youngsters who are trained and well prepared.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognized institute with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.
Availability of Application forms:
The forms for NIBM will be available by August End in NIBM, Pune. The form can also be obtained by post from NIBM, Pune by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form. Candidates can also apply online through the website www.nibmindia.org. Candidates have to send the filled form along with the photocopy of CAT’s admitting card.
Important Dates (Tentative):
Availability of Application Forms: August 2nd week-November End, 2011
Last Date for receipt of completed application forms/Online Application: December 1st week, 2011
Personal Interview & General Discussion: Mid-April, 2011
