Details on WASE course
Wipro Academy of Software Excellence (WASE) gives an opportunity for B.Sc, BCM and BCA graduates for taking up MS program in Computer Science conducted by BITS Pilani. This course is known by the name ‘WASE course’ with duration of more than one and a half year. Wipro itself conduct selection process for the intake of eligible candidates to this course. Selection process will include Wipro Entrance Test and two rounds of interview.
Eligibility requirements
Candidates having B.Sc degree in any of the following streams can apply for this course.
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Electronics
- Computer Science
BCM or BCA graduates are also eligible to enrol for this course.
Another requirement is that candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50% aggregate in 10th and 12th standard along with a minimum of 60% aggregate in graduation. Also, they should have studied Mathematics as one of the subject during the intermediate course. Those who are appearing for the final year examination of relevant qualifying degree can also pursue WASE course.
Course Structure
A total of eight semesters will be there in the course structure. Each semester will have 4-5 months of duration. First seven semesters will be dedicated for course work while dissertation will be there for last semester. Activity distribution will be included in first seven semesters.
Four courses will be there for each semester with contact classes for sixteen weeks. Four sessions are there in contact classes which are conducted on every Saturday and Sunday. Each of these sessions will have duration of two hours. Candidates are required to engage in Wipro projects on every Monday to Friday. Evaluation sessions will be there on weekends.
Selection Process
Candidates are selected to this course according to their performance in Wipro Entrance Test, Technical interview and HR interview. Dates for test and interview will be informed to the candidates after making registration for the program.
Wipro Entrance Test is an online test which has Verbal, Analytical and Mathematics sections. Verbal and Analytical questions will have the standard of CAT and GMAT entrance examinations. Mathematics section will include questions from 11th and 12th level mathematics. Questions will be mostly from the following areas.
- Algebra
- Calculus
- Coordinate Geometry
- Differentiation
- Integration
- Matrices
- Trigonometry
Technical interview will be conducted for the candidates short listed from this online test. Overall technical knowledge of the candidates will be evaluated during this stage. Those who perform well during this stage will be called for HR interview in which the personality and attitude of the candidate will be evaluated.
