Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana offers Undergraduate, Post graduate, MBA and Diploma Programmes other than PhD programmes. Candidates residing in the state of Punjab or Union territory of Chandigarh are eligible for admission to these courses. The University conducts common entrance test for admission for undergraduate courses. Admission to Bachelor of Technology in Agricultural Engineering course is based on the AIEEE exam scores.

MBA admissions are made through Management Entrance Test conducted by Punjab Technical University. Admission to other post graduate courses is made through Master’s Entrance Test conducted by the University. University considers All India Entrance Test conducted by ICAR for admission to PhD programmes.

Admission process

Candidates looking for admission to graduate and post graduate programmes in the University should first of all purchase an application form. Application form can be collected from the University on post by sending a demand draft of Rs. 1290/- or personally on payment of Rs. 1210/- in cash. Application form can be downloaded from the official website of the University too. Some of the courses in undergraduate level, as well as post graduate level has common entrance test for admission. Detailed information can be obtained from the official website of the University.  Candidates are required to submit the application form along with the entrance exam fee for the respective subjects/ courses. Incomplete applications as well as late applications will be rejected.

The institute considers AIEEE score for admission to Bachelor of Technology course in Agricultural Engineering. The final selection is made on the basis of AIEEE score prescribed by the university as well as marks secured in higher secondary examination by the candidate. Admission is made through joint counseling conducted by Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. Reserved category candidates can avail the benefits as per the government rule.

Admission to Master of Business Administration is made on the basis of scores obtained in the entrance test called Management Entrance Test (MET) followed by personal interview and group discussion. This test is conducted by Punjab Technical University.
