Exam Pattern and Application process for Delhi Police Sub Inspectors (Executives) Recruitment Test
Selection process for Sub Inspectors (Executives) in Delhi Police is done via written test, physical/medical test, and personal interview. Graduates or Post graduates in any stream can apply for the recruitment test conducted by Staff Selection Commission. Applications for attending the written test can be forwarded through the official website of SSC. The objective model written test covers questions from areas of reasoning, general awareness, English comprehension, etc.
Exam Pattern for Delhi Police Sub Inspectors (Executives) Recruitment Test
Written test comprises of two papers, Paper I and Paper II. There will be 200 questions in each of papers carrying one mark each. Therefore, total marks for the test is 400. Paper I is divided in to four parts that comprises questions from the following areas.
- General Intelligence and Reasoning -50 questions -50 marks
- General Knowledge and General Awareness-50 questions -50 marks
- Quantitative Aptitude -50 questions -50 marks
- English Comprehension-50 questions -50 marks
General Intelligence and Reasoning section basically covers questions on verbal and non verbal reasoning. General awareness section covers questions on current affairs and recent happenings in field of science, technology, Indian constitution, culture, geography, etc. The arithmetical ability of the candidate is evaluated via Quantitative Aptitude session. English comprehension session in Paper I is designed to evaluate candidate’s ability to understand English, their writing ability, etc.
Paper II includes questions on English language and comprehension. This section includes questions from following areas.

- Comprehension
- Error recognition
- Filling in the blanks
- Grammar
- Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words
- Sentence Completion
- Sentence Structure
- Spellings
- Synonyms
- Vocabulary
Both the papers include objective type questions. Time allotted for the completion of each of the papers is 2 hours.
Application process for Delhi Police Sub Inspectors (Executives) Recruitment Test
Applications can be submitted via the official web portal of SSC. Application submission includes two stages of registration process, one before fee payment and one after fee payment. During the first stage of registration process, basic details regarding the candidate must be filled in. On completion of first stage registration, a registration number and a fee payment challan will be issued. Then using this challan form, candidate can make the fee payment through any branches of SBI. Net banking facility of SBI can also be used for fee payment. Application fee for the test is Rs. 100/-. Women candidates and candidates of other reserved category are exempted from fee payment.
After fee payment, candidate can go for second stage registration process. In this final stage, fee payment details must be entered. A scanned copy of photograph and signature must also be uploaded at this stage.
