CBI stands for Central Bureau of Investigation .

To join the CBI, you will need to appear for Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam, conducted by the SSC (Staff Selection commission) every year.CBI SI Post comes under CGL Examination

The minimum academic qualification one should possess in order to become a member of the Central Bureau of Investigation is a bachelors degree.

Age criteria :-

(i) Assistant Grade & Sub Inspectors in CBI –
Age between 20 - 27 years.
(ii) Inspectors of CE / IT & Divisional Accountants/Auditors/ UDCs –
Age between 18 - 27 years.
(iii) Sub Inspectors in Central Police Forces –
Age between 20 and 25 years.

Your age now 45 years old so you are not applicable for CBI Exam

Selection Process for CBI Exam :-

Preliminary Exam (Tier I).
Mains Exam (Tier II).
Interview.
Medical Test.

Exam pattern for CBI Exam:-

a. Part I - Written Examination carrying: 400 marks

i. General Test
ii. General Intelligence and Reasoning
iii. General Awareness
iv. Numerical Ability

b. Part II - Personality Test (Interview): 100 marks.

i. English Language
ii. Language Comprehension
iii. Communication / Writing
iv. Ability Test

To become an CBI officer you have to appear in the SSC conducted Combined Graduate Level exams

This Exam is conducted by SSC each year.

Educational qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Pass in any stream
No Minimum Percentage is required in Graduation

AGE-
Minimum 18 years
Maximum 27 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations


Next Tier 1 Exam of the SSC Combined Graduate level will be held in May 2014 Notification and advertisement will come out in Jan 2014

>> CID exam is Indian Civil Services examination conduct by the UPSC.

>> Educational qualification
- Graduation complete in any recognized university.

>> Candidate should be an India.

- General category 21 to 28 years.
- OBC category 21 to 31 years.

CBI stands for the Central Bureau of Investigation and CID stands for the Crime Investigation Department both the exam is being conducted by Staff Selection Commission every year....

The Exam Consist Three Tier: Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III. the Question to be asked is related to the following topics General Test, General Intelligence, General Awareness, Numerical Ability and Reasoning......

• Tier-I consist 200 Marks,
• Tier-II consists 400 Marks and
• Tier-III Consists 100 marks for the Interview

A candidate must have completed their Graduation Study in any Discipline from Recognized Universities are eligible for this exam....

Final years of Graduation degree students also eligible for this exam...

Age of candidate should be between 20 to 27 years....

For OBC category on upper age is 3 years...

For SC/ST it is up to 5 years....

My height is 159 cm. Can I apply in cbi for any post. And I have completed bsc.(electronics). So can I apply any post in cbi?
