how to join CBI? Please help

Please tell me the procedure to join it?

Senior officers from IPS [Indian Police Service] are sent on central deputation to CBI. For this you need to become an IPS officer by passing Civil Services Exam of UPSC and opt for IPS.

First it should made be clear for which post you want to apply
then CBI itself announces for the exam fill up the form with normal fee and
then apply
and give exam.

Basically UPSC conducts the exams for the CBI. In this CBI this year it will be held online by UPSC and for tht you had to quallify for the aptitude test .Morever for CBI assitent programmer there is eligibility that you should be computer engineer and good command in the following stream :-
1) Programming knowledge in the following areas
i) C++, Visual basic, Visual C++;
ii) Programming in .Net, ASP, PHP, JAVA;
iii) Programming in RDBMS languages, ORACLE; iv) Windows & Unix
Operating Systems.
2) Essentials of networking (LAN/WAN) including network administration;
3) Computer Security Administration.
So start working hard in these field because seats are less but the competition level is too high.......

If you want to join in executive grade i.e. for the post of Sub-Inspector,
you need to appear for CGLE [Combined Graduate Level Examination] conducted by SSC [Staff Selection Commission].
If you want to join in administrative grade i.e. for the post of DCP [Deputy Commissioner of Police],
you need to appear for Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC and opt for IPS [Indian Police Service] on selection.

To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

QUALIFICATION:Graduation in any Discipline.

AGE: You should be in between 20 to 27 years of Age. & special Relaxation is given to SC/ST which is 5 years and For OBC 3 years.

For becoming the CBI inspector or officer , you must have to qualify the CGL examination,.(combined graduation level examination), conducted by SSC (STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION ).
for appear in CGL examination you must have graduation degree from a recognized college, what ever may the stream is ...

the age limit for this examination is 20-27 years, there are 5& 3 years of age relaxations are applicable for SC\ST & OBC candidates respectively,.
its mean,
21-33 years for the OBC candidates,
21-35 years for the SC\ST candidates.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CBI EXAM

To join CID you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for CID exam.(Criminology)

But your age should be in between 20 to 27 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be in citizen in India.

The selection process is contain in two stage

In first stage written test:-

1)General question ---------- 200marks
2)English -------------------200 marks

In second stage you can faced an interview which is contain 100 marks.

a. Part I - Written Examination carrying: 400 marks
i. General Test
ii. General Intelligence and Reasoning
iii. General Awareness
iv. Numerical Ability

b. Part II - Personality Test (Interview): 100 marks.
i. English Language
ii. Language Comprehension
iii. Communication / Writing
iv. Ability Test

to become IPS you have to write CIVIL SERVICES EXAM

STEPS FOR YOU TO BECOME IPS:

1) complete degree from any recognised university

2) apply for CSAT (UPSC CIVIL SERVICES EXAM PRELIMINARY TEST)

3) after passing prelims appear for mains

4) AFTER PASSING MAINS they call for interview

my name is tarique i want to join in cbi department i had completed my intermidiate commerce above 50%what can i do?

To become CBI officer, you may appear for combined graduate preliminary exam, conducted by staff selection commission.

To be eligible for the exam, you must hold a bachelors degree (any*stream), from a recognized university.

The minimum age is 20 years whereas, the maximum age limit is 27 years with relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

CBI Exam Details:-

The full form of CBI is Central Bureau of Investigation. Among youths the craze to become a CBI officer is huge. To become a CBI officer you need to be sit for the CGL exam which is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. Generally for the post of Sub-Inspectors of Police in Central Bureau of Investigation this exam is conducted.

CBI Officer Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

• To sit for this exam you need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  
• For the post of Assistants and Sub-Inspectors in CBI your age should be between 20 and 27 years.
  
• For the post of Inspector of Income Tax/ Assistant Enforcement Officer and Divisional Accountant/Auditors/ UDCs your age should be between 18 and 27 years.
  
• If you opt for the sub inspector post then you need to undergo Physical Endurance Test (PET)/ Medical Examination after the Tier-I exam.

The examination takes place in three stages. They are as follows: The preliminary written exam, the main written exam and lastly the personality test cum interview session. All the three stages of selection are equally important and should be given equal importance.

There are four sections under the first tier exam. For each section 50 marks have been allotted. The total time limit you will get for this exam is two hours. Areas of weightage:

• General Intelligence+Reasoning
• General Awareness
• Numerical Aptitude
• English Comprehension

For the second tier exam 400 marks have been allotted and for tier three 100 marks have been allotted. There are two sections under the second tier exam. For each section two hundred marks have been allotted and total time limit is four hours. Areas of weightage:

• Arithmetic Abilities
• English Language & Comprehension
