Chandigarh Police has proved to be an efficient force in the recent past. It has produced many of the courageous and enthusiastic policemen. It believes that it is one and equal for all communities and classes of people.

Job profile: The assistant sub inspectors will be responsible for maintaining decorum in the state, carry out regular patrolling, regular security checks and reducing crime rate. They will also be responsible for supporting their seniors and helping people when needed.

Eligibility: A candidate must be between the age of 18 and 25 years. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules. The male candidates must have a minimum height of 5 feet and 7 inches and females must have a minimum height of 5 feet and 2 inches.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

No. of posts: There are 20 posts in total which include 15 posts for men and 5 for women.

Pay scale: The assistant sub inspectors will be given a pay scale of Rs5910-20200 plus a grade pay of Rs3000 plus other usual allowances as per the rules.

Selection process: The candidates will have to undergo the physical efficiency test and physical measurement test. Those who qualify these exams will appear for a written test followed by a GD and an Interview.

The candidates are also required to send the attested copies of their testimonials along with the application.
