B.Ed Admission in MD University
Admission to the course of Bachelor of Education in Maharshi Dayanand University is based on the score obtained by the candidate in the qualifying exam. The university conducts online admission process for this course. Given below is a brief description about the details of admission procedure.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who seek admission to B.Ed course are required to secure a minimum of 50 % aggregate marks in their bachelor degree or in the Master’s degree from Maharshi Dayanand University or any other university recognized by UGC. Reserved category students need 45 % marks in qualifying exam to apply. Visually and physically challenged candidates can also avail this relaxation.
Availability of Seats
50 % of the total seats available in each college are reserved for candidates with Science and Arts with Maths background. Remaining seats are meant for candidates belonging to Arts and Commerce background. In addition to this, 85 % of seats are reserved for bonafide residents of Haryana and rest is meant for other candidates. Apart from this, candidates belonging to reserved category can avail benefits according to the norms issued by the government of India at the time of admission.
Application Procedure
Candidates can obtain the prospectus containing eligibility conditions, list of participating colleges and reservation policies from the official website of the University. Candidates are required to apply online for the admission process from the official website. They should register their name, valid e mail id, address and mobile number. After successful registration, candidates are required to pay the fee for registration as well as counselling. General category candidates are required to pay Rs.1000/- and candidates belonging to reserved category should pay Rs.675/- as registration fees. The fees can be paid by bank deposit in any of the branches of Punjab National Bank or Canara Bank. Fee payment can also be done through net banking.
Admission Process
Admission to the course is based on the scores obtained in the qualifying exam. Candidates will be shortlisted as per their rankings on the basis of their marks. From the official website, candidate can view the number of seats and the choices available to them. Seats will be allotted on the basis of the merit of the candidate. If two or more candidates have obtained equal marks, then candidate who is senior in age will be given preference. Once the allotment is over, candidates can download their allotment letter. After this, the candidates will have to report to the College allotted to them with supporting documents. The College Authorities will check all documents and collect the prescribed fee instalment before giving admission.
