Admission procedure

Candidates who seek admission to post graduation degree in Physics are required to pass the Bachelor of Science degree examination with Physics as the major subject from any university recognized by UGC. The application form for admission can be obtained from the office of the Registrar, University of Mumbai along with a copy of the brochure on payment of Rs.50/-.

Candidates are required to fill up the application form as per the instructions given in the brochure. Duly filled in and signed application form along with attested copies of supporting documents should be submitted to the staff-in-charge of the admissions within the period specified. Incomplete and late application without mark sheet, caste certificate issued by competent authority etc. will be rejected without intimation.

Final selection of the candidates will be done strictly on the basis of merit within each category. The list of candidates shortlisted for admission to the course will be put up on the notice board of the Department. Candidates who belong to reserved category can avail seat reservation as per the government norms prevailing at the time of admission.
