Educational Qualifications:

For professor – A candidate must be an eminent scholar with a PhD degree and a minimum of 10 high quality publications as books, research work or policy papers etc. A candidate must also have a minimum of 12 years of teaching experience.

For assistant professor – A candidate must have a good academic record with a minimum of 55% marks at the Master’s degree level. A candidate must have cleared the NET (National Eligibility Test).

Pay scale: For a professor the pay scale is Rs37400-67000 plus a grade pay of Rs10000 and that for an assistant professor is Rs15600-39100 plus a grade pay of Rs6000.

Selection process: A candidate will be short listed on the basis of his/her qualifications and will be called for an interview.
