Details on M.Phil in Clinical Psychology
M.Phil in Clinical Psychology is a two year course that deal with advanced study of abnormal mental states, mental processes and mental behaviour. Post graduation in any of the Psychology related subjects with 55 % marks in aggregate is the minimum required educational qualification for admission to this course. The course covers theoretical and practical studies in topics such as Psychiatry and Neuropsychology etc. Admission to the course is made on the basis of composite scores obtained in entrance exam as well as personal interview. Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi and National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences are some of the reputed institutes that offer M.Phil in Clinical Psychology.
Eligibility Criterion for M.Phil in Clinical Psychology
Candidates who have completed two years full time programmes such as M A or M. Sc in Psychology/ Counselling Psychology/ Psychological Counselling/ Applied Psychology/Clinical Psychology from any University recognized by UGC are eligible to apply for this course. They should secure a minimum of 55 % of aggregate marks in qualifying degree. Candidates who have specialization in Clinical Psychology in their graduation are preferred. Candidates belonging to reserved category are required to secure 50 % marks in aggregate as per the norms of Government of India. Apart from this, most of the institutes consider a minimum of 2 years practical experience in counselling services as eligibility.
