IOCL ‘Graduate Trainee’ 2013 - Selection Process, Remuneration, and Application Process

Indian Oil Corporation Limited will be recruiting Graduate Trainee for the intake in 2013 on the basis of GATE score of 2013. The selection procedure comprises of group discussion as well as personal interview. Application process can be done online through the official website of the organization. Those who have qualified in final interview will be appointed as Graduate Trainee with a stipend of Rs. 35,000/- per month. After one year training, they will be appointed as Engineers with pay scale of Rs. 24,900/- per month along with other allowances.

Selection Procedure for Graduate Trainee in IOCL

Recruitment of Graduate Trainee in IOCL is based on the scores obtained in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2013 and personal interview conducted by the organization. Candidates are required to have a valid score card in the respective subject for the post concerned. For instance, those who are applying for vacancies in Computer Science & Information Technology should have appeared the corresponding GATE paper. Candidates will be shortlisted for further selection process on the basis of their ranking according to the score they secure in GATE exam. Such candidates will have to appear for

  • Group Discussion
  • Personal Interview

Candidates’ interpersonal skill and awareness in given topic will be evaluated in group discussion. Those who have qualified in group discussion will be short listed for personal interview. There will be questions to measure candidates’ subject knowledge, aptitude, other skills and behavioral approach.

Those who are short listed in final interview will be posted as Graduate Trainee in any part of the country. They will have to execute Rs. 3,00,000/- as bond from the date of joining to a minimum period of three years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are required to execute a bond of Rs. 50,000/-.

Remuneration Package for Graduate Trainee in IOCL

Candidates who are appointed as graduate trainee will be given Rs. 35,000/- per month as stipend during their training period. Those who have successfully completed one year apprenticeship training will be appointed as Engineers/ Officers with a starting salary of Rs. 24,900/-per month. In addition to this, they will receive other allowances such as Dearness Allowance, HRA, performance related pay, gratuity, medical facilities, house building advance and leave travel concession.

Application Procedure for Graduate Trainee in IOCL

Applicants are required to apply online through the official website of Indian Oil Corporation Limited. Candidates will have to register with their GATE-2013 Registration Number in online application. Apart from this, they have to submit personal details as well as academic details as per the instructions given. Those who have successfully applied will receive a system generated unique application ID. Candidates are advised to take a print out of the completed application form, affix their passport size photograph and sign at the space provided. The photograph should be the same as that they have uploaded for GATE registration. The hard copy of completed application should be kept safely for future reference. Candidates are required to have a valid e-mail id as all intimations will be done only through e-mail.
