There is no necessary for GATE score to get job in IT sector. There are lots of companies that do not ask for gate score-
1. TCS
2. WIPRO
3. HCL
4. Vinsol
5. CMC
6. Accenture
7. Cognizant
8. IBM
9. HTC
10. Google

But there also companies or organisations that ask for valid gate score that are generally PSU(Public Sector Undertaking). GATE exam is also necessary for M.Tech.
