Engineering graduates with a minimum of 65% marks can apply for the post of Graduate Engineer in NALCO. Recruitment is conducted on the basis of GATE exam 2013. Final selection is on the basis of performance in personal interview conducted by the organization. Candidates are required to apply online through the official website of NALCO.

Eligibility Qualification

Candidates who have Bachelor of Engineering or Technology from any institute recognized by UGC are eligible to apply for the post of Graduate Engineer in various departments of NALCO. They should have secured a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate for all semesters in qualifying exam. Those who are belonging to reserved categories require 55% marks in qualifying examination. Final year candidates can also apply. They are supposed to submit the originals of mark sheet at the time of recruitment. Candidates who are completed/ pursuing the course in full time regular mode are only eligible to apply. Those who are more than 30 years of age at the time of recruitment are not eligible to apply.

Candidates who have completed graduation in any of the following subjects can apply for below mentioned disciplines.

Electronics: Graduation in any of the following subjects

• Instrumentation
• Electronics
• Telecom
• Electrical Engineering

Mechanical: Graduation in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering

Electrical: Graduation in Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Instrumentation: Graduation in any of the following disciplines

• Instrumentation
• Electronics
• Telecom
• Electrical Engineering

Civil: Graduation in any of following subjects

• Civil Engineering
• Architecture
• Ceramics Engineering

Metallurgy: Graduation in Metallurgical Engineering

Chemical: Graduation in Chemical Engineering or M.Tech in Applied Chemistry

Mining: Graduation in Mining Engineering or Diploma in Mining Engineering with 60% marks.

Geology: Post graduation in Geology. Candidates should have secured 65% marks in graduation as well as post graduation.

Selection Procedure for Graduate Engineer in NALCO

Recruitment to the post of Graduate Engineer in NALCO is based on the scores obtained in Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers (GATE 2013). Candidates will be short listed on the basis of their scores in GATE exam for personal interview conducted by the organization. Final selection will be based on the performance in interview, Medical test and submission of supporting documents. Those who are presently working in other organizations are required to submit No Objection Certificate at the time of Interview.

Those who are selected in final interview will be sent for one year on job training. Those who have successfully completed the training programme will be appointed as graduate engineer across the country.

Application Procedure for Graduate Engineer in NALCO

Eligible candidates are required to apply online from the official website of the organization. They should apply with the registration number of GATE exam. Candidates are not required to pay any fee for application process. They should have valid e-mail id. Candidates will be asked to upload the scanned photographs that they had submitted for GATE exam.
