Jindal Steel and Power Limited recruit fresh candidates who have completed Engineering degree through Graduate Engineers Training Programme (GET). It includes Written Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Physical Fitness Assessment. Candidates who have cleared the final interview will have to undergo an on the job training. Those who have successfully completed training will be placed as Graduate Engineer in various departments.

Exam Pattern

Written test comprises of two papers that is Aptitude Section as well as Technical Section. There will be a maximum of 55 questions in aptitude section. Of these, 20 questions will be asked from verbal section. This part contains questions from Reading comprehension, preposition and word meanings. 20 questions will be asked from Numerical aptitude in which candidates can expect simple but lengthy calculations on profit and loss, ratio and proportion etc. Apart from this, there will be 15 questions on logical reasoning and pattern recognition etc. Technical Section will contain 60 multiple choice objective type questions from academics. Each question carries one mark. There will be no negative marking in this exam. Those who have cleared the written test will be short listed for Group Discussion.

Candidates will be given topics that cover current trends in industry, academics etc. Candidates’ communication skill as well as awareness in general topic will be evaluated in Group Discussion. Candidates who have qualified in Group Discussion will be called for personal interview. There will be two rounds of interview, which include Technical Round and HR interview. Candidates should be thorough with their core subjects. Questions will be asked from current trends in industry and projects done etc. Technical Interview may last up to 15 minutes.

HR interview will contain questions to measure candidates’ interpersonal skills- Decision making & Problem Solving skills, soft skills and behavioral approach. There will be questions from the details mentioned in candidates’ resume. Candidates are advised to prepare their resume in a manner to impress the interviewer.
