Eligibility Criterion for Probationary Clerks in Andhra Bank
Andhra Bank, one of the nationalized banks in India has invited applications for the post of Probationary Clerks. Those who have completed Graduation or passed Higher secondary examination with first class marks are eligible to apply. Selection procedure is on the basis of scores obtained in Common Written examination conducted by IBPS.
Eligibility Criterion for Probationary Clerks in Andhra Bank
Nationality: Indian citizens and those who are subject of Nepal/ Bhutan are eligible to apply. In addition to this, Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1962 and permanently settled down are also eligible to apply. Those who are of Indian origin and migrated from any of the following countries are also eligible.
- Burma
- Pakistan
- East African countries of Kenya
- Uganda
- United Republic of Tanzania
- Malawi
- Zaire
- Sri Lanka
- Zambia
- Ethiopia and Vietnam
Such candidates are required to submit the certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India at the time of group discussion as well as final interview.
Age Restrictions: Those who have completed a minimum of 18 years of age at the time application are only eligible to apply. Upper age limit for qualification is 28 years. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste can seek relaxation up to 5 years in upper age limit. Those who are belonging to other backward classes can seek reservation in upper age limit as per the norms issued by the Government of India. Those who are domiciled from the State of Jammu and Kashmir can seek 5 years relaxation in upper age limit. Upper age limit for Ex-Servicemen is 3 years. Physically challenged candidates are eligible to avail age relaxation up to 10 years. Upper age limit for Disabled Ex Service Men belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe is 50 years.
Educational Qualification: Those who have cleared the Common Written Examination for clerical cadre, conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection are only eligible to apply. In addition to this, graduation in any subjects from a recognized University or Higher Secondary education in any stream is the minimum educational qualification required. Candidates who are applying with HSC as qualification should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination from a recognized board of examination. Those who are belonging to SC/ ST are required to secure 55% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination so as to be eligible.
Aspirants should be proficient in the local language of the State in which they wish to apply. Apart from this, computer knowledge is essential. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
