CSIR–Central   Salt   &   Marine   Chemicals   Research Institute has invited applications for technical post in Research and Development department of the organization. Degree/ Diploma courses in technical subjects are the required qualifications.

Eligibility Criterion

Candidates who meet the educational qualifications requirements are eligible to apply for the below mentioned posts.

Technical Assistant, Process Engineering:

Those who have completed Higher Secondary course in Science stream from a recognized Board of examination are eligible to apply for this post. They should have completed full time Diploma course in any of the following subjects from any recognized Industrial Training Institute.

• Chemical Engineering
• Petrochemical Engineering
• Chemical Technology

Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination. Those who have completed 3 years full time courses are only eligible to apply. Lateral entry candidates are also eligible. Such candidates should have completed a minimum of 2 years duration of course. Candidates who have a minimum of 2 years professional experience in software packages such as AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER, and ANSYS will be given additional preference.

Technical Assistant, Mechanical Engineering:

Candidates who have completed Higher Secondary course in Science stream from a recognized Board of examination are eligible to apply for this post. In addition to this, they should have completed full time 3 years diploma course in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute. Minimum marks required for qualification is 60%. Professional experience of 2 years in various machineries such as lathe machine, milling machine, CNC, drilling machine, shearing machine, cutter & grinder machine is a must.

Technical Assistant, Electrical Engineering:

Those who have completed Higher Secondary course in Science stream from a recognized Board of examination are eligible to apply for this post. They should have completed full time Diploma course in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology from any recognized Industrial Training Institute. In addition to this, they should have professional experience for a minimum of 2 years in maintenance work including substations and D.G. sets, electrical safety audit, energy audit, troubleshooting.

Technical Assistant, Library and Information Science:

Those who have completed Bachelor of Science in Library Science from a recognized University are eligible to apply for this post. They should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination so as to be eligible. Candidates are required to have 2 years professional experience in a computerized library and knowledge of library software, e-resources and databases.

Technical Officer, Chemical/Production Engineering:

Those who have completed Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering in Chemical/ Production Engineering or Chemical Technology from a recognized University are eligible to apply for this post. They should have secured a minimum of 55% marks in qualifying examination. Candidates having professional experience in fertilizer or inorganic chemical industry will be given additional preference.
