Admission Procedure for UG courses in Heritage Institute of Technology
Admissions are done as per the norms and policies issued by Government of West Bengal from time to time. Eligible candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2) examination from the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or equivalent. Such candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects. 90% of the admissions are done on the basis of West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE). Remaining 10% admissions are carried out on the basis of AIEEE score.
Admission Procedure for PG courses in Heritage Institute of Technology
For admission to M.Tech, eligible candidate must be a B.Tech degree holder in the concerned subject. Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering/VLSI/ Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering must have completed their engineering degree in any of the following subjects.
- Electronics & Communication
- Electrical Engineering
- Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
- Instrumentation & Control
In case of M.Tech in Biotechnology, required qualification must be obtained in any of the following subjects
- Biotechnology
- Chemical Engineering
- Biochemical Engineering / Technology
For admission to M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology, eligible candidate must be a B.Tech holder in any of the following subjects.
- Computer Science & Engineering
- Information Technology
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
Admissions are done on the basis of candidate’s score in GATE.
Bachelor’s degree holders in engineering can seek admission to MCA course by qualifying Joint Entrance Examination (JECA). Other degree holders having studied mathematics as a subject either at 12th or graduation can also have admission by qualifying the entrance exam.
Candidates seeking admission to MBA must have completed graduation with a minimum of 50% marks. Such candidates should have qualified 10 + 2 with a minimum of 60% marks. Interested candidates with required eligibility can seek admissions on the basis of CAT, GD and interview.
