Exam Pattern for SSC Sub Inspector/Asst Sub Inspector Recruitment 2013
Staff Selection Commission is conducting a written test for recruiting candidates to the job position of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police/ CAPFs and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF. This will be typically an objective type test comprising two main papers. Paper 1 includes questions from sections like General reasoning and Intelligence, GK, Quantitative aptitude and English Comprehension. Paper II comprises of questions on English Language and Comprehension. Qualified candidates in written test should undergo a physical endurance test (PET) and interview.

The written exam for SSC Sub Inspector/Asst Sub Inspector Recruitment essentially include two main papers –
Paper 1 – An objective format will be followed for Paper 1 which mainly include the following type of questions –
- Section A – General Intelligence and Reasoning – 50 questions -50 marks
- Section B – General Knowledge - 50 questions -50 marks
- Section C – Quantitative Aptitude – 50 questions -50 marks
- Section D – English Comprehension -50 questions -50 marks
Candidates need to complete answering all the questions of Paper 1 within 2 hours.

Paper 2 – This paper basically include a test on English Language and Comprehension. A total of 200 questions for a maximum of 200 marks are included in this paper. The time limit for answering this paper is 2 hours.

There will be cut off marks specified for both the papers. Candidates who are able to score above the cut off marks will get qualified for Physical Endurance Test or Medical Examination. Those who pass the physical endurance test or medical examination will be selected for interview. The merit score attained in both Paper 1 and Paper II will be considered for final selection process.
