M.Tech (Remote Sensing and Graphical Information System) is one among the PG level courses offered at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing. Admission Procedure for M.Tech (Remote Sensing and Graphical Information System)

Admission process for eligible candidates is made through national level entrance test like GATE. Sponsored candidates from government organizations are eligible to apply. Non GATE candidates should go for the entrance test conducted by IIRS to have admission.  There are four sections for this entrance test. First three sections are common for all candidates and fourth section is based on the specific subject area of specialization. Questions on basic sciences, basic mathematics, General Knowledge, aptitude test, and reasoning are asked for the first three sections. In basic sciences section, questions on Physics and Chemistry are asked. Basic mathematics covers questions from the following topics.

  • Trignometry
  • Probability and Statistics

Subject related questions are mainly asked from the following topics.

  • Economic Geology
  • Engineering Geology
  • Environmental Geology
  • Geomorphology
  • Geotectonics

Applications for admission can be collected from the web portal of IIRS itself. Filled up application form along with mark sheets and certificates should be sent to the address of Group Director before last date. Selected candidates can join the course after paying admission fee. Candidates sponsored by Government of India need to pay any fess, except boarding and lodging. Other self financed candidates need to pay Rs. 1, 44,000/- as fees and Rs. 20,000/- as University registration fee.
