Masters in Forensic Entomology
The course of forensic entomology is related to the study of insects pertaining legal matters. The course at the master level is associated with death investigations. The course uses the materials to find out the exposure to toxins and drugs and can be also used to determine the crime scene as well as the location of the same. It also focuses on the forensic pathology as well as anthropology and DNA analysis.
The candidate who wants to under take the course should be a bachelor degree holder in the Entomology, Physics, Chemistry as well as any other stream. The candidate should also have a minimum of 45% in aggregate in their Higher Secondary Examination as well as in English. The candidates who have completed their bachelor degree in veterinary as well as in medical streams can also apply for this course.
Course Outlook:
The course of the master level in the forensic entomology subject is a one year course. The course is available as a full time course. The course is also available as a six months full time course in certain Institutes. The course is also available as part time and correspondence course.
Job Prospects:
The candidates who have under taken the course can find employment in Entomology department of the Government Health Organizations. They specialize in control of disease that is related to the insects and pests. They can also find job in the Bio-technology field.
