Foreign trade is a subject that has not been very popular in our country. However the recent drift of the students towards the economics have certainly popularized the subjects related to economics and trade and commerce. How can we omit foreign trade while talking about trade and commerce? Thus the subject, foreign trade is also gaining its momentum amongst the mass, and that is the reason that many new colleges are coming up with courses in foreign trade. However there are plenty of old colleges which have been in this trade since long and have made a good name. One such name is Gitam Institute of Foreign trade.

GIFT conducts an entrance examination which is to select the candidates who will be given admission. This admission test is conducted to grant admission in all the courses including PGDM course to the aspiring candidates.

Candidates are shortlisted for PGDM program on the basis of their CAT/XAT/MAT/IIFT/GMAT scores. Therefore for admission in PGDM program of AIM candidates have to appear for either of these exams. The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in the mentioned exams have to appear in a further selection process consisting of Personal Interview, General Discussion, Essay Writing and Case Analysis for final selection process.

Eligibility criteria:

A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognized institute with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.

Availability of Application forms:

The forms for GIFT will be available from the institute and also from designated centers of selected management coaching institutes like IMS and TIME. The form can also be obtained by post from GIFT by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form. Candidates can also download the form online through the website www.gift-india.org.

Selection process:
