AIMA-UGAT 2011 BBA BCA Hotel Management
Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) is an entrance examination conducted every year at national level for the bachelor courses in Management field. It is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA), the same body which conducts Management Aptitude Test (MAT) for admission in to MBA courses in a large number of management institutes across the country. The exam includes conceptual and tricky questions.
Institutes under this examination:
For taking admission in to Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelors in Computer Applications (BCA) as well as Bachelors in Hotel Management (BHM) courses in a large number of institutions throughout the country, the candidates have to secure sufficient marks in the Under graduate Aptitude Test. There are plenty of institutes available for the students who want to pursue the above mentioned courses. Through UGAT admission is open for BBA, BCA & BHM courses in over 75 institutes across the country. All these institutes provide excellent infrastructure and campus facility and also provide disciplined education to their students. These institutes provide excellent training and placement facility to its students in various domestic and national firms of India.
Popularity of the exam:
The Under Graduate Aptitude Test is considered as one of the popular exams for management courses that candidates have to face for starting their career. Every year candidates are filling the forms and are giving good response. This exam is one of the best choices for the students to get India’s top management institutes. Interested candidates start their preparations either from well recognized centers or themselves. Candidates have to follow all the instructions provided during the exam time. Selection is based on the rank got by the students in the entrance exam. Candidates have a common entrance paper for BBA & BCA in UGAT though for BHM they have a separate paper. Unlike MAT, UGAT is conducted only once a year generally in May.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should have either passed or be appearing in 10+2 examination in 2011. Those who appear for their 10+2 examinations in 2011 will only be eligible for provisional admission.
How to Apply:
UGAT forms will be available from designated Bank of Baroda branches and AIMA centers. One can also apply online for it and payment can be made either through Demand Draft or Credit Card.
Important Dates (Tentative):
Date of Examination: mid week of the month of May, 2011
last Date of submitting completed application form/online registration: end of the month of April, 2011
Pattern of Examination:
For BCA and BBA entrance, candidates needs to prepare themselves for objective type questions. These questions are consist of the following sections:
1. 30 questions from Numerical and Data Analysis
2. 40 questions from English Language
3. 30 questions from Intelligence and Reasoning
4. 30 questions from General Knowledge
The candidates appearing for BHM entrance will have all the sections which the BBA & BCA entrances have but will also additionally have the following sections:
Scientific Aptitude: 30 questions
Service Aptitude: 30 questions
The candidates who want to apply for all the courses have to appear for BHM entrance though for BBA & BCA only the scores of their first four sections common with BBA & BCA entrance will be considered.
