Acharya Prafulla Chandra College, shortly called as A.P.C College is affiliated to West Bengal State University and it was formed in the year 1960. The college was formed as a degree college sponsored by the Government and it started functioning with a very few students and some hired rooms in a local school. But now, the college has seen several developments and the college is striving to attain excellence in the field of education.

Admission Procedure:

Admission of students is made on the basis of the marks secured by them in the higher secondary examination. In the process of admission, the college shows special consideration to students from backward classes since it strives for the upliftment of people from backward classes. Every year a percentage of seats are allocated for SC/ST students on the basis of norms set up by the Government and 3% of the seats are reserved for physically handicapped students. The students must have secured a minimum of 45% of marks in their higher secondary examination.

Facilities:

The students are offered with several facilities in the college. For meritorious poor students, the college offers half-free/free studentship. A placement cell is also functioning under the college thereby enabling the students to find placement in their dream companies.
