National Institute Of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences was established as a Mental Hospital in the year 1925. The institute then came into existence after the amalgamation of mental hospital and the All India Institute of Mental Health. The institute is actually a premier neuroscience institute present in the country. The institute is located in bangalore city. It has an urban campus with different medical courses provided to the student. The institute was awarded with the status of being an “medical institute of national importance” by the Government of India. The institute became an autonomous institute in the year 1974.

Application Fee:

All interested candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 750 for the first 4 posts specified above. Rs. 500 is the amount of application fee for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. The amount of application fee is Rs. 500 for the rest of the specified positions. However, Rs. 300 is the amount of application fee for SC/ST candidates. Submission of application fee must be done through the means of a demand draft drawn on any Nationalised Bank in the favour of the Director, NIMHANS, Bangalore payable at Bangalore.
