Gujarat Technological University (GTU) situated in Ahmedabad offers a variety of courses like Pharmacy, Engineering, MBA, MCA and so on. Aeronautical Engineering is one of its premier courses with Basics of Environmental Studies being an important subject in the 1st years of this course.

Environmental Studies has been included in almost all the department of education because students have to be made aware of the different facts and issues related to environment. They need to know what are the damages we are causing to the environment, what are its impacts, how to deal with them and such other things.

Division of Paper:

The exam taken by the university is of 70 marks. It is compulsory for the student to answer all the five questions which are of 14 marks each. The questions may be having sub questions. It is important for the student to answer all the sub questions of a question to score well.

The Paper Pattern and Marking Scheme:

The question paper is set in such a manner that the student may or may not get an option in answering a question. Sometimes there may be cases when a student is allowed to choose a single question out of the two questions mentioned, whereas sometimes he may be allowed to choose a part of the question the other part being compulsory. Also there may be a chance that there is no option in a particular question. Generally the sub parts carry 6 to 8 marks varying on the question.
