Ashok & Rita Patel Institute of Integrated Study & Research in Biotechnology & Allied Sciences shortly called as ARIBAS was founded in the year 2005 on the month of June as a self-financing institution. The institute holds the pride of being the first to offer Integrated Master of Science course in Biotechnology in the state of Gujarat and it is affiliated to Sardar Patel University located at Vallabh Vidyanagar.

ARIBAS is a post-graduate institution offering PG course in science stream and the list of courses offered is mentioned below:

Eligibility Criteria:

The integrated biotechnology course offered by the ARIBAS extends to a period of five years and for getting admission to this course, students must have completed their higher secondary examination in science stream with not less than 50% of marks in physics, chemistry & biology from a recognized board belonging to any state of India. For M. Sc microbiology and biotechnology courses, candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Science degree in appropriate discipline with a minimum of 50% of marks as aggregate. For Pharmaceutical chemistry course, students with degree in B. Sc with microbiology/biotechnology and chemistry with not less than 50% of marks can apply.

Intake Capacity of the Institution:

For Master of Science in Integrated Biotechnology course alone, the intake capacity of the institution is 120 students and for the other three courses, the intake capacity is 60 students for each course.

Library at ARIBAS:

The library at ARIBAS has a collection of latest national and international journals, literature, monographs, bulletins, newsletters and reference books. It has a collection of over 1200 books, which include books pertaining to periodicals spanning management and technical subjects, scientific journals, etc…

Facilities:

Apart from the library with a wide collection of books, the institution also includes computers with internet facility and lab facilities.
