Uttarakhand Pey Jal Nigam was established under the Government of India. The major objective behind the establishment of the nigam was to have a responsible body for supplying water in the state of Uttarakhand. The major function or work performed by the nigam is supplying water to the people residing in the state of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand Pey Jal Nigam has its headquarter located at Dehradun.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible and qualified candidates for filling up the vacant posts of Assistant Engineer in Uttarakhand Pey Jal Nigam. The posts of Assistant Engineer are available in the disciplines of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Selected candidates will be recruited purely on direct basis in Uttarakhand Peyjal Sansadhan Vikas Evam Nirman Nigam Dehradun (Uttarakhand).

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post of Assistant Engineer is 21 years as on 1 August 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Assistant Engineer is 35 years as on 1 August 2011.

Relaxation in age will be provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories of Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Categories. However, the relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided as per the rules of Government of Uttarakhand only.

Educational Qualification:

Assistant Engineer (Civil): Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute or university approved by AICTE is required for the post.

Assistant Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical): Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute or university approved by AICTE is required for the post.

How to apply: Candidates can obtain the application form from the branches of Punjab National Bank located at Dehradun, Garidwar, Roorkee, Kotdwar, Srinagar, Almora, Haldwani, Rudrapur, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, New Delhi and Chandigarh. Candidate will have to pay Rs. 1200 (Rs. 600 for SC/ST candidates of Uttarakhand) for the application form. Candidates can also obtain the application form by sending a demand draft of prescribed about of application fee with Rs. 100 extra as postage charges to the office of Chief Engineer (H.Q.), Uttarakhand Peyjal Sansadhan Vikas Evam Nirman Nigam. The demand draft should be drawn on any Nationalised Bank, made in favour of Executive Engineer (H.Q.), Uttarakhand Peyjal Nigam, Dehradun payable at Dehradun only.
