hi,

You must have a pass mark in all subjects/ hold a degree certificate to appear for UPSC exam.

You need not go for coaching classes, buy some old books/ old question papers of exam and go through it , have an updated G.K.

dear friend,
UPSC conducts various exams , you have not mentioned that you want to know about which exam..

UPSC conducts civil service exams like- IAS/IPS/IES/IFS..

Eligibility for these Civil service exams:-

1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade.
But for IES , one has to complete the graduation in engineering field.

2.Age should be in between 21-30 years.
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.

3.Candidate must be a citizen of India.

These are the eligibility for civil service exams.
No such percentage aggregate is needed to appear in UPSC exams.

All the best.

As you scored a good percentage in 10th i would just recommend you to judge yourselves and choose the subject in which you are interested in. This shall be helpful for you to get good score in further studies as you shall be with an initiative of learning something new of your favourite choice.

Look there is no percentage requirement for any candidate to be eligible for UPSC exam. What all is needed you should hold a graduate degree i.e. bachelor's degree.

For it's Prelims preparation you can do the following:
1.Prepare your aptitude from RS Aggarwal.
2.Start reading newspaper daily.
3.Read some magazines like India today.
4.Read all history ,Geography,Science books of CBSE from class 6th till 10th.
5.Also enhance your General Knowldge by reading good GK books.

Rest all depends on HARD WORK.
