The earlier known as regional engineering college are now called NITs. For admissions to NITs it is compulsory for the student to give AIEEE examination. Job Profile:

National Institute of Technology invites applications from Indian Nationals belonging to either SC or ST categories, for making recruitment on the post of Assistant Professor. The post of Assistant Professor is available in the departments of Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production & Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Humanities and Computer Application.

Eligibility:

The very first eligibility condition for the post of Assistant Professor in National Institute of Technology is that candidates should belongs to either SC or ST category only. Interested candidates should be in between the age limit set for the post.

Educational Qualification:

The minimum essential education qualification as well as the experience required for the post of Assistant Professor in National Institute of Technology, is as per AICTE or UGC Norms. Candidates are required to have qualification and experience in the relvant subject or field only as per AICTE or UGC Norms.

No. of posts: 14 posts are available in total.

For SC category candidates: Only 9 posts are available.
For ST category candidates: Only 5 posts are available.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get prescribed amount of salary as per 6th CPC recommendations. Candidates will be paid under the Pay Band-III i.e. Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

Selection Process:

Interested as well as eligible candidates will have to undergo a personal interview test with the selection commitee. Candidate’s performance in this personal interview test will decide about his/her selection on the respective post. Candidates are advised to prepare well for their personal interview test with selection commitee.
