The Society for Promotion of Vocational and Technical Education is shortly called as SOVTECH and it is a society working under the Andaman & Nicobar Administration under the Societies Registration Act 1860. The society is located in the campus of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology at Port Blair.

The Society for Promotion of Vocational and Technical Education is planning to appoint candidates for faculty positions purely on contract basis and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this regard:

Name of the Vacancies: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 20, which is divided among the different positions as follows:

• Assistant Professor – 11

Pay scale: Since the positions are going to be filled purely on contract basis the consolidated monthly pays fixed for each position is given below:

• Assistant Professor – Rs.45000 per month

• Associate Professor – Rs.80000 per month

• Professor – Rs.90000 per month
