Staff Selection Commission was established on Septmeber 26, 1977. Initially the commission was named as Subordinate Services Commission but later it was renamed to Staff Selection Commission. The major objective of the commission is to make recruitment to Group C and Group B posts in the departments of Government of India. There are nine regional or sub-regional offices located of the commission at different states of the country. The important persons associated with the commission are Chairmen, his two assistant or members and a secretary or controller of Examination.

Job Profile:

Staff Selection Commission is organizing a written as well as the personal interview test for making recruitment on the posts of Assistant Sub Inspector.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be in between 20 to 25 years of age as on 28 June 2010. There is age relaxation available for the reserved category candidates.

Educational Qualification:

bachelor’s degree in any stream from any recognized institute or university is the minimum educational qualification required for applying for the posts of Assistant Sub Inspector in Staff Selection Commission.

No. of posts: Total 1000 posts are available for the position.

Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2800 will be given to the selected candidates.

Selection Process:

Candidates selection on the above specified post will be made strictly through the means of their performance in the written examination followed by a personal interview session with the selection committee.
