Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established in 1998 under an act of parliament. It is the only Urdu University in the world. The University offers courses in Urdu medium at Certificate, Diploma, Graduate, Post-graduate and Research levels through Campus and Distance education modes. The main objectives of the university are to promote and develop Urdu Language and to impart vocational and technical education in Urdu medium. The university also aims to provide education through conventional teaching and the distance education system. The university further plans to provide focus on Women Education.

Eligibility:

Qualification – The candidates must have 55% marks in master’s degree and good academic record in PhD degree in relevant field. They must have eight yrs of teaching/ research experience. The candidates must have compulsorily studied Urdu at SSC/+2 or graduate level. For SC/ST candidates, any certificate course in Urdu will also be considered.
