Bankim Sardar College came into existence in the year 1955 and during the several years of experience in the educational field, the college has proven to be the beacon-light of higher education in the economically and socially backward areas of the Sundarbans. The college was given this name in honor of the local landlord because of whose dream the college was established. Recently, in the year 2005 and college celebrated its golden jubilee.

Admission Procedure:

Bankim Sardar College follows the admission guidelines as issued by the University of Calcutta from time to time.

How to Apply:

Normally the college issues admission notice by inviting application for different courses through the notice board available in the premises of the college. Students will have to submit the filled-in application form in prescribed format by getting the admission form from the office of the college. The filled in application form should be submitted by the students along with two recent passport size photographs, Xerox copies of mark sheet of the higher secondary examination, school leaving certificate, community certificate, migration certificate and admit card. Once a student is selected for a particular course he/she will be called for personal interview along with parents and during the interview, the students will have to produce the original copies of the previously-mentioned documents for reference and they should also pay the required course fee.
