Belonia College, whose current name is Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar College is accredited with B status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college was established in the year 1964 on the 22nd of May 1964, under the jurisdiction of University of Calcutta. From the year 1986, it got affiliation from Tripura University and it is a government funded college.

The library of Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar College is housed in a double storied building in an area of 25000 square feet. The library offers separate reading rooms for students and staff members and the management is equipping the library with several facilities systematically and steadily.
