The tripura government is conducting the Tripura Joint Entrance Exam- Engineering (Tripura JEE Engineering) in the various centers of the state. Candidates living in tripura can apply. The admission will be given to the four engineering colleges in the state.

The colleges are:

  • Tripura Engineering College
  • Tripura Institute of Technology
  • National Institute of Technology, Agartala
  • ICFAI Institute of Science & Technology Agartala

Structure of Tripura JEE Engineering

The exam consists of two parts or sections. First section consists of questions pf multiple choices. Second section consists of questions of short answer type. All candidates should attend both the sections.Inthe first section there will be 40 questions from each section for 60 marks. Candidate will need to write the appropriate answer in the column. In the second section there will be questions for 40 marks from each subject. All the questions are compulsory.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Only Indian candidates can apply for this entrance exam.
  • The applicant should have completed 10+2 successfully with physics, chemistry and mathematics.
  • There are only two attempts for any candidates applying for this exam.
  • All the candidates should have scored minimum fifty percent marks in the qualifying examination.

How to Apply?

Candidates can buy the form and prospectus from the tripura board for joint entrance examination. It is also available from the Care Taker Unit, Directorate of Higher Education, (Old Secretariat Building, Akhaura Road, Agartala) .The forms can be also obtained from the following institutions:

  • Govt. Degree College, Dharmanagar.
  • R. K. Mahavidyalaya, Kailashahar.
  • D. D. Memorial College, Khowai.
  • Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar College, Belonia.
  • N. S. Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur.

Application forms for tripura jee engineering and be obtained through post also. For that candidate will need to send a DD of Rs 25 in favour of tripura board of joint entrance examination.

Before filling the original form candidate should make use of the official website and brochure of the tripura entrance examination. From there all the necessary information for filling the form can be obtained. All the proofs and documents submitted along with the application form should be attested. Candidates can ask the help of parents for filling the form.

Important Dates (Tentative)

  • Exam will be on the third week of April, 2012
  • Application forms are available from first week of January, 2012
  • All application form should reach the office before the last week of January, 2012

Candidate should first go through mathematics. More questions will be asked from that section .Study the problems by doing it. Otherwise you will not get enough speed or time for entrance exam as you will need to complete each question within a minute. Study other subjects after completing maths.candidates can make use of coaching centers.
