Structure of Bhavnagar University Ph.D Entrance Exam

The Bhavnagar University PhD Entrance Exam question paper will comprise of 2 papers which is mainly to assess the research capabilities of the candidates. Paper I will have 2 sections each having 25 questions from Research Aptitude & basic Computer skills and Language of Communication. Paper II will have 50 questions to test the candidates’ knowledge in the concerned subject. All the questions will be asked in the form of multiple choice types.  Each question carries one mark. There will be no negative marking for the wrong answer.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed their Master’s degree or degree equivalent to Master’s degree with at least 48% marks or equivalent grade are eligible to appear for the Bhavnagar University PhD Entrance Exam in the subject one holds his master degree.  Candidates in the final year of Master’s degree programme are also eligible to apply for the same.

The candidates can obtain the application form along with the information brochure from the official website of the University www.bhavuni.edu. The duly filled application form along with DD of Rs. 1250/- (Rs. 1000/- in case of backward community candidates) drawn in favor of Coordinator, PET Examination payable at Bhavnagar has to be sent to “The Deputy Registrar (Academic), Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar-364 022, Gujarat, India.

• Read the brochure carefully before form filling
• All the columns in the form have to be filled providing the exact details
• Mention on the envelop “Application for Entrance Test for Eligibility of Admission to PhD (PET)
• Affix a recent passport size photograph at appropriate place
• A self addressed stamped (Rs.10) envelop must be attached along with the application form
