Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducts Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) once every year for the process of screening the eligible candidates for admission to its various undergraduate programmes. The ones interested to get into any of these courses will have to clear the entrance test as the admission will be purely on merit basis.

Structure of BHU B. Sc. in Agriculture Entrance Exam

There shall be a single paper for the BHU B. Sc. in Agriculture Entrance Exam. The exam will be of 120 minutes duration. There will be a total of 200 multiple choice questions which shall be based on +2 examination or equivalent. A candidate needs to answer only 100 questions from all the sections. The maximum mark that can be scored for the exam is 300 marks. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. Three marks shall be awarded for each correct answer while one mark shall be deducted for each incorrect ones.

Syllabus of BHU B. Sc. in Agriculture Entrance Exam

The paper shall comprise the following five sections:

• Mental Ability (25 questions)
• Chemistry (25 questions)
• Physics & Mathematics (50 questions)
• Botany & Zoology (50 questions)
• Agriculture (50 questions)

Sections I and II are compulsory for all candidates whereas from Sections III, IV and V, the candidates can chose any one section.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those who have passed their 10+2 / intermediate examination in Agriculture or in Science (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology) or any other equivalent examinations recognized by the University securing a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. The candidates in the final year of the qualifying exam can also apply for the same.

How to Apply?

The application form along with the information bulletin of BHU B. Sc. in Agriculture Entrance Exam can be purchased from the Office of Controller of Examinations, Banaras Hindu University or some other designated offices of the Banaras Hindu University by paying an amount of Rs.50/-. The application for admission can also be submitted online from the official website www.bhu.ac.in. The Candidates should pay the entrance fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 200/- in case of SC/ ST candidates) in any branch of State Bank of India. The challan along with the completed application form has to be sent to Office of the Controller of Examinations, BHU before the due date.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates should fill the application form very carefully. All the columns have to be filled mentioning the exact details in block letters. All the personal details filled in the form must be the same as mentioned in the High School / Class X certificate. The form number provided in the left top side of the application form has to be noted down for future reference. A recent passport size photograph of the candidate has to be pasted in appropriate place. All the descriptions required about the challan issued by State Bank of India have to be entered correctly without committing any sort of errors. For any queries while filling the application form, the candidates can refer the information bulletin where all the necessary details are listed. One also needs to take special care that the application forms along with all the requisite enclosures reaches the concerned address before the dead line.
