CMC UG 2012
Christian Medical College is one of the top Medical colleges in India. Situated in Vellore, this medical college is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR University. Christian Medical College conducts CMC Under graduate entrance exam every year. This entrance exam is held for admission to MBBS and other UG medical degrees in C M C.Large number of students attend this exam every year for getting admission in this college for medical courses. Other than MBBS many other graduate courses are there in this college, such as BSc Mlt.BSc nursing, BOT and BPT.
Structure of CMC UG Test
Candidates will be given multiple choice questions. The questions will be from biology, physics, Chemistry and General ability. There will be a total of 180 questions 60 questions each from biology, physics and chemistry.120 minutes is the time given for answering 180 questions. General ability test contains 120 questions which should be completed in 70 minutes. There will be no negative markings. Five options will be given to the candidate for each question with only one correct answer.
Syllabus for CMC UG Test
The Questions and syllabus will be based on the 10+2 level. The questions will be from the following papers:
- Biology
- Physics
- Chemistry
- General aptitude
- Issues of Current Topical Interest
Eligibility Criteria
- All candidates should have passed 10+2 with minimum 60% marks for physics, chemistry and biology.
- Candidate should have also passed English with 60% marks.
- General candidates should have an aggregate of 140/200 in the entrance and qualifying examination.
- Backward candidates should have aggregate of 120/200 in the entrance and qualifying examination.
- Scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates should have an aggregate of 80/200 in the entrance and qualifying examination.
How to Apply?
Candidates can get their application form and prospectus from the designated post offices across India. The cost of the application form is Rs.750/-.Candidates can also send their application form via online through the website of the college. The website address is given below:

While registering online candidates will need to pay the amount through Demand Draft in favour of C.M.C. Vellore Association a/c which should be payable at vellore.The demand draft should be taken only from a nationalized bank. After getting the Demand draft candidate should send that Demand Draft to:
- Office of the Registrar, CMC, Thorapadi PO, Vellore- 632 002
Candidate should not forget to write his /her full postal address with pin code and telephone number in the envelope before sending it.
How to fill the Form?
The candidates need to take care of the instruction while filling the application form. Any error made by the candidates will cause rejecting the application form. They have to give information in block letters and make sure the information is valid in any case. There are some exceptions for the reservation category and the candidate belonging such groups need to fulfill the requirements based on the category reservations. They can keep the copy of the filled form for future reference and the original form should send to the office before the final date.

Entrance exam will be conducted on the second week of May, 2012
Results will be published in June or July, 2012
