The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) functions with a Chairman as the head. The commission also comprises two Members, a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations, and support officers and Staffs as well as Regional Network of offices set up at various locations. The Commission has its Headquarter at New Delhi. The commission has a wide interaction of examination centres/ sub-centres located in different parts of India for smooth conduct of examinations.

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 18 yrs and the maximum age limit is 23 yrs.

Educational qualification – The candidates must have passed in Matriculation or 10th standard from any recognized Board or University.

Selection Process:

The selection process consists of Height Bar, Prescribed Race, Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Examination and Medical Examination. Only the candidates who successfully pass the PST and PET will be called for the written examination. Application Fee:

Application fee of Rs. 50 can be paid through online payment/SBI Bank Challan/CRF Stamp via account with SBI. There is no fee for women candidates and SC/ ST candidates and Ex-servicemen
