Citicorp Overseas Software Limited (COSL) is an integral part of the Citigroup. The Citibank Overseas Investment Corporation wholly owns this subsidiary. The company was set up in the year 1985. It was incepted as a total export unit in Mumbai. The company has engineering approach to its development of software. It is a renowned company and recruits engineers almost every year for its various operations. The selection process of the company has been described below.

The company’s selection process includes a written test followed by an interview. In the written aptitude test, there are several parts like quantitative aptitude, verbal, reasoning and logic. Pictoral diagrams also form a part of the test. Puzzles are also there. In the written test there are two sections. The number of questions may vary. Section A consists of 69 questions and the next section consists of about 35-36 questions. The time allotted for the test is generally 30 minutes, which appears to be a little insufficient. In some cases they increase the time limit. Section B is generally a psychometric test. Students are advised to attempt the second section only after completing the first section, because the second section is of less weightage.
