BSF is involved in promotion of a sense of security among the people living in the border areas, prevention of trans border crimes, unauthorized entry into or exit from India, and prevention of smuggling and other illegal activities.

Job Profile:

Border Security Force (BSF) invites application from eligible male Indian citizens for the post of CT (Technical) in various disciplines for its Motor Transport Workshop Cadre.

No. of posts: 360 (Vehicle Mechanic -74, Welder -26, Fitter -39, Auto Electrician -47, Turner -17, Operator Tyre Repair plant -36, Blacksmith or Tinsmith -50, Store Keeper -39, Painter -7, Upholster -25)

Pay Scale – Rs. 5200 - 20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 18 yrs and the maximum age limit is 25 yrs (Relaxable as per rules)

Educational Qualification and Experience – The candidates must have passed in matriculation exam or 10th class from a recognized Board or institution. They must have Industrial training institute certificate in respective discipline. They must also have 3 yrs experience in respective discipline in a reputed firm.

Selection Process:

The candidates are selected for the post through Documentation Verification, Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test, Technical Aptitude and Trade Test (Written and Practical), Interview and Medical Examination. All the selection procedures will be conducted in one stretch.
