Dear sir i have completed 3 year Aircraft maintenance engineering which is aproved by DGCA, and i am 21 years old,can i eligible for SI post in IB?
please guide me

Latest SI Recruitment in BSF New Delhi 2011

1.Border Security Force Applications are invited from male Indian Citizens for appointment to Group ‘B’ Post of Sub Inspector / Junior Engineer ( Civil and Electrical ) in the Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in the pay scale of 9,300 – 34,800/-, Grade Pay 4,200/- with usual admissible allowances. The BSF SI Post is temporary but likely to become permanent.


2. BSF New Delhi Vacancy 2011 Age Limit
a.Between 18 and 25 Years ( relaxable by 5 Years for Government Servants / Schedule Caste / Schedule Tribe and by three Years for other Backward classes in accordance with instructions or orders issued by the Central Government from time to time ). The cut of date for determining the upper age limit shall be the last date of receipt of Border Security Force Applications 2011.
b.BSF Recruitment 2011 relaxation in upper age limit of 05 Years shall also be admissible to all candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 01 January, 1980 to 31 December, 1989. Candidates from the state of Jammu and Kashmir claiming age relaxation should produce a certificate obtained from the District Magistrate within shoes jurisdiction they had ordinarily resided or from authority designated in the behalf by the Government of J & K .
c.Five Years of age relaxation in upper age limit shall also be granted to the children and dependent family members of those who were killed in the communal riots of the Year 1984 and Gujarat riots of the Year 2002. For getting this benefit, the children and dependent family member of those killed in the riots should produce a certificate to the effect from the concerned District Collectors, SC / ST / OBC relaxation as per Government instruction will be in addition.

3. Educational Qualifications for Sub Inspector in BSF 2011 :




Minimum three Years Diploma in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an Institute recognized by Central / State Government.

4. Physical Standard for BSF Recruitment 2011 :

i.Height : 165 Cms. Relaxable by 05 Cms for hill tribes and Adivasis.
ii.Chest : 76 Cms ( Unexpanded ) and 81 Cms ( Expanded ) ( Relaxable by 02 Cms for candidates below 20 Years of age ).
iii.Weight : Corresponding to Height.

5. Border Security Force Selection Procedure 2011 : The BSF Sub Inspector Selection Procedure will be as under :-

First Phase of BSF Sub Inspector Recruitment 2011 :

a) BSF SI Written Test 2011 :- The duration of written test will be of two hrs, comprising the questions on following topics :-
• Part – I : General English
• Part – II : General Awareness
• Part – II : Technical Subject; Standard of Diploma in Civil / Electrical Engineering.

b) Second Phase of BSF New Delhi Recruitment 2011 :
i.Documentation
ii.Physical Measurement
iii.BSF Vacancy 2011 Physical Efficiency Test : a.Standing Broad Jump : 4 Ft 6 inch.
b.Jump and Reach : 7 Ft ( including Minimum one feet jump and reach ).
c.One Mile run : 12 Minutes.
d.Clear the ditch : 6 Ft.

a.Candidates should be medically fit in all respects ( Eye Sight 6/6 and 6/9 of two eye without wearing spectacles or lenses ).
b.The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high grade colour vision. They must be in Good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect which may interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

SC / ST and departmental candidates are not required to remit BSF Jobs 2011 examination fee. Three recent passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazette officer should be attached to the application. One each photograph to be affixed on the BSF Application Form 2011 and BSF Recruitment 2011 Admit Card and third one to be kept in record. Two self – addressed envelopes of size of 25×12 cms stamped worth 27/- each should also be attached with the BSF Application Form 2011.
