Qualification for appearing in this exam:

The candidates appearing for DUMET should have completed their 10+2 from any recognized board or University of the country. The candidates should be having Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics in 10+2 and should have studied English as an individual paper. Candidates should have scored above 50% marks in 10+2.

Score Calculation:

There are negative marks for every wrong answer. An answer is taken wrong is the students marks two options in a question. There is no negative marking for unanswered questions.

Delhi University Medical/Dental Entrance Test (DUMET) Biology Papers is a pen based paper. Candidates are provided with specially designed answer sheets in the examination hall to answer the questions. Instructions for answering are given to the candidates in the exam hall in the form of a booklet.

Paper Format:

Delhi University Medical/Dental Entrance Test (DUMET) consists of two papers; Paper I contains two sections of Physics and Chemistry and paper II contains two sections of Botany and Zoology. Both the paper contains objective type multiple-choice questions of 600 marks in maximum.

Time Allotted:

DUMET contains two papers; one contains Physics and Chemistry and the other Botany and Zoology. The time allotted for each section is 2 and a half hour. Total time allotted for the entire exam is 5 hours.
