DUMET MBBS/BDS 2010
Delhi University Medical/Dental Entrance Test(DUMET) is an entrance exam for admission to the bachelor medical and dental courses MBBS and BDS in University of Delhi. DUMET is conducted by University of Delhi Faculty of Medical Sciences. The examination is conducted in the capital region of Delhi only. DUMET can only be given by candidates who have done 11th and 12th from Delhi.
MBBS is available in three colleges in University of Delhi which are Lady Harding Medical College, Maulana Azad Medical College and University College of Medical Sciences and Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital and BDS is available in Maulana Azad Medical College. A large number if students appear for DUMET every year.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50% aggregate marks in PCB(40% for SC/ST). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2010 can also apply.
Availability of Application forms:
The forms for DUMET are expected to be available by February in Faculty of Medical Sciences, Delhi University and also from the member institutes. The form can also be obtained by post from Faculty of Medical Sciences, Delhi University by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.
Important Dates(Tentative):
Date of Entrance Examination: May 3rd week, 2010
Availability of Application Forms: February End-April 1st week, 2010
Availability of Application Forms by Post: February End-March 3rd week, 2010
Last Date for receipt of completed application forms:April 1st week, 2010
Please note that the dates are only tentative and are not final. The post will be updated as soon as the dates are officially released.
Pattern of Examination:
DUMET consists of two papers of 150 minutes each containing only objective type questions:
Paper I: Physics and Chemistry.
Paper II:Botany and Zoology.
