Nagaland University is affiliated to University Grants Commission. The university was established in the year 1994 by the Government of India. The university is located in the state of Nagaland. The university was established as a Central University with four campuses located at Kohima, Diampur, Lumami and Medziphema. There are 47 colleges affiliated to the university. Professor Y. K. Alagh is the Chancellor of the university while Professor B. K. Knwor is the Vice Chancellor. The university is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The university works on its motto ‘Labour et Honor’.

Nagaland University invites applications from eligible and qualified candidates for the various non teaching posts of Director College Development Council, Deputy registrar, Information Scientist, Hindi Officer, Hindi Translator, Museum Curator and Upper Division Clerk. 1. Recruitment of Director College Development Council:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent from a recognized university. Minimum 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor is also required for the post.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 16400-22400 per month.

2. Recruitment of Deputy Registrar:
No. of posts: Only 4 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent from a recognized university. Minimum 9 years of experience as Assistant Professor is also required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

3. Recruitment of Information Scientist:

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Master’s degree in Library and Information Science with Post graduate Diploma in Computer Applications.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

4. Recruitment of Hindi Officer:

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Post Graduate degree in Hindi language with English as one of the subjects at Graduation level, with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

5. Recruitment of Hindi Translator:

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Master’s degree in Hindi or English with Hindi as main optical subject at degree level, from a recognized university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

6. Recruitment of Museum Curator:

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess B.Sc. degree with Geology from a recognized university. Working knowledge of Computer Applications is desirable for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.

7. Recruitment of Upper Division Clerk:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent. Candidates should also have typing speed of atleast 30 words per minute.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

Interested candidates are required to pay Rs. 200 as the amount of application fee for applying for any of the above specified posts. Only General candidates should pay Rs. 200 as application fee as the amount of application fee is Rs. 150 for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories. The payment must be done in the form of a Demand Draft only. The bank draft should be made in favour of Registrar, Nagaland University payable at Nagaland only.
