National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya has an urban campus which is spreaded over an area of 256 acres. The institute is actually a recognized education and research institution which came into existence in the year 2010. The institute has an academic staff of total 100 personnels. The institute offers both undergraduate as well as post graduate courses to its students. The institute is known as Institute of National Importance located at Shillong, Meghalaya. Initially, the classes of the institute were taken in National Institute of Technology, Surat.

An application fee of Rs. 300 is need to be submitted by the candidates (only General and OBC candidates). Rs. 150 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted by the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. Application fee must be submitted in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya payable at Shillong.
